Children's National Medical Center - Main Hospital

The cornerstone of CNMC, Children´s Hospital houses 283 inpatient beds, 40 of which are dedicated to our neonatal nursery, and utilizes the most state-of-the-art equipment available. A leader in the development of innovative new treatments for childhood illness and injury, Children´s nationally and internationally recognized staff of pediatric healthcare professionals delivers sophisticated care to thousands of families throughout the region and around the world. In fact, we continue to be ranked among the top Children´s Hospitals in America by U.S. News and World Report. Further, the hospital serves as the regional referral center for pediatric emergency trauma cases, as well as cancer, burn, neonatal and critical care.

PARKING: There is underground parking available at the main hospital. Discount parking tickets are also available and may be purchased in the Parking Office. The discount parking tickets are $5.00 and are valid for one stay. For questions or more information, please call the Parking Office at 202-476-5457.

DIRECTIONS: By Metro and Bus: The nearest Metro stop is Brookland near Catholic University on the Red Line. Call 202-637-7000 for Metro schedules. The H-1, H-2, and H-4 buses go to the hospital. A free shuttle bus also runs Monday through Friday from the hospital to the Brookland Metro on a frequent schedule from 6:15 a.m. (departing metro) to 7:05 p.m. (departing the hospital). The shuttle bus picks up passengers at the P-1 pick-up area. Ask for a shuttle bus schedule at the Welcome Desk in the lobby.
